When Led Zeppelin performed "No Quarter" live from 1973 onward, it became the signature showpiece for John Paul Jones. Between his one-man piano interlude interpolating classical music and his subsequent jam with Jimmy Page and John Bonham, the song often became one of Led Zeppelin's very longest numbers in concert, peaking in length at 33 minutes and 25 seconds when Led Zeppelin played the L.A. Forum on June 22, 1977.
